Valentine’s Day Special: Books on Love

One of my favorite quotes ever is ‘Love is the closest thing to magic.’ I don’t know where I picked it up from, but it has stayed with me! I genuinely believe that people, relationships can save you from stress, from hard times, sometimes even from yourself. That at the end of the day it’s people who are your real earnings.

On that note, here are some books that celebrate relationships and the season of love!

Books on Love: Recommendations for Young Adults

Book: The Sun is Also a Star

The Sun is Also a Star

by Nicola Yoons

This is the story of two teens, a Korean American boy, and a Jamaican American girl, who stumble into each other one day and get talking. She’s about to be deported, he has a college interview that he must go to but they form a connection that helps them escape the rest of their lives. It’s a beautiful book that’s way more than a romance, it’s about soul connections, about two opposite word views that’ll give you loads to think about, and it’s about the universe and how it picks people for your life!

Lara Jean writes letters to all her crushes. It’s her way of dealing with her feelings. She never sends them, never intends to! But then her letters get sent anyway and now she must deal with her crushes one on one! I love this book for how it explores crushes and first love and growing up! Also, I love how it explores family and sisterhood!
