Veena Talwar

Born in undivided Punjab and educated in Uttar Pradesh, Now 77, Veena has been a stay at home mom and now a grandma. She has always nurtured two strong passions, to skillfully use her hands as an amateur painter and create fancy culinary delights. When the everyday mundane cooking seemed like a burden to her, she thought of Joseph telling young Jesus that doing one’s own work enabled a person to be independent of others. This homily took root in her psyche. She has also been a keen traveler all her life. She harbored a deep desire to travel the silk route of her nomadic ancestors. These travels widened her understanding of different people and precious traditions. Her many travels led her into a new journey of penning down the many lessons of her lifetime.
